I am loving on these toddler boy rooms at the moment! From the large Gathre mat as a wall hanging to the Ikea Scandi DIY bunkbeds- I am loving the muted tones but super fun design!
It is not secret that I love looking at kids bedroom ideas. There is something extremely fun and exciting about designing a space for a little one to explore every day- at least I’ve found it to be so! A bedroom needs to have the necessity of storage and a bed but then everything else is totally left up to the designer! I am by no means an interior decorator but my heart skipped a beat when I saw the final layout of the rooms (especially the little girls’ room.. I know.. I’m partial)! You guys, I am dying over that little girls bed- like literally swooning.
As Ava gets older I will definitely start looking into transitioning her into a big girl bed- as practical as bunk beds or trundel beds are I cannot ignore these little house beds that are EVERYWHERE at the moment.. Should I throw caution to the wind? I would love to hear your feedback as to when you moved your kids to big beds and how you went about changing their rooms up.

Because we created a playroom for Ava we were able to re-arrange her bedroom and create more room! By removing a large white sofa bed we had in her room (It’s surprising the amount of room it took up) we could finally put a little tent which she loves! Sources linked below!

A few months ago I wrote a post about Ava’s nursery- we decided to go with pastel’s and whites.
If you have seen our house you will notice that I definitely like whites and neutral colours. Our lounge-room and dining area are very Scandinavian- grey couches, timber and white dining set, white walls etc. Everyone has warned me that keeping our walls white is going to be a challenge when Ava gets bigger!!
While I love neutrals, I’ve recently come across a few nursery’s that are dramatic to say the least! I have to admit they are incredible even though they are totally opposite my normal style!
Below are some of my favourite’s I’ve found- maybe for our next baby I will be become a bit more adventurous with the nursery!!
